Cubs Win! Cubs Win!

I usually save the happy dancing Hobbes for when I finish a manuscript and ship it off to my editor, but I had to pull him out today. Last night the Cubs clinched the NL Central Division!!! Hurrah!!!

And now for the big question: Where do you find Halloween potpourri? I have this really cool cauldron and I used to have some orange and black potpourri with a spicy scent to it that I poured in it, but I used that up last year and the store I bought it from is out of business. Not being a shopper, I have no idea where I’d go to buy more. Anyone have some hints?

Hmm, I would try Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics, or Party City for the Halloween potpourri. If you still don’t find it, I think fall leaves would look nice and they have their own woodsy smell.

Watch out, the Phillies are on a roll! I thought you were from Minnesota? What are you doing cheering for the Cubs?

Yayyyyy for you! The Cubs came through for you.

I was going to suggest Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics. Also, Target or Walmart may have it too.

    Good luck.

    Laura,

Thanks for the suggestions! Michaels is nice and convenient and totally dangerous. :-) It’s all those cool scrapbooking supplies.

The Phillies and Mets games today are going to be very interesting. I can’t believe they’re tied again. I should pop over to MLB and see what the scores are.

I am from MN and a Twins fan, but I got hooked on the Cubs when WGN used to broadcast nearly every one of their games. That’s how I got hooked on the Braves, too, thanks to TBS. So I have three teams I root for every year and usually one of them is involved in some kind of pennant race. I don’t know what I’m going to do next season when TBS doesn’t show any Braves games. :-(

    Jen,

Thanks for the additional suggestions! Target and/or Walmart have to be cheaper than what I found online. $17 for a bag of dried and scented petals. Gah!
