Free Book!

For those of you who’ve wanted to try one of my books or if you’re someone who’d like a digital copy of In the Midnight Hour, head over to Tor.com and register. Every Friday they send out an email with a link for a free ebook. Next week is Midnight Hour. It’ll give you a chance to read one of my stories and get to know my writing.

We had another pounding rain storm go through on Wednesday night, but luckily, the garden survived with no new damage. The leaves from the flowers that had been flattened with the first storm were flattened again, but I’m not sure it matters at this point.

I also did a recon on the tree peony and there appears to be growth beneath the point where it broke after the previous storm. With a little luck, next spring there will be a new flower. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

It’s a stunningly beautiful day here. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and there’s a pleasant breeze. Perfect weather for sitting out on the deck, sipping coffee and vegging out. I, of course, will be inside writing. :-)

    Hi Patti:

I just finished In Twilight’s Shadow. WOW! It was so good, I couldn’t put it down. The character development was fascinating. It was like watching two flowers open. The love story was so natural. There was no way these two could just jump into bed. I loved the buildup. I have to say, I think this is one of your best books.

Will we be seeing more of the “Cat People”? The peek you gave us was intriguing.

Thank you, for the fabulous entertainment and great escape.

    Hi Candy,

Thank you so much for letting me know how much you liked Twilight’s Shadow! You made my day! And you’re absolutely right, there is no way that Creed and Maia could just jump into bed–they both were dealing with issues that wouldn’t allow for them to open up easily.

I’m not sure about the cat people. I’m working on the third book in the Light Warriors series right now and they’re not in this one, but maybe in a later book.

Thank you again for taking the time to write me a note! It’s much appreciated!

Thank you, Leiha! I appreciate it! BTW, I meant to comment on your blog, but didn’t have time. Thanks for sharing the info about the $1 sale at ELF.
