Sorry, no blog today. I’m still feeling miserable.

I forgot it was Tuesday! I’ve been working on copy edits all evening and my eyes are crossed now, so this will be another quick blog post.
If you’d like to see a picture of my library (aka the book cathedral), there’s a picture up on the Dusted blog. I also talk about my collection of read and yet-to-be-read books there.
Tomorrow, Wednesday August 5th, is Ask a Romance Author Day on Twitter. I’ll be participating after I get home from the Evil Day Job and while I’m trying to work on copy edits.
There are a lot of other authors participating as well. It’s for both readers and writers, so no matter which group you fall into, stop on in and ask your question. (You’ll need to have a Twitter account, but it’s free.) Then ask your question and add #askromancewriter or #arw. Either one will work. JoAnn Ross has more information up on her blog.
My final guest blogging appearance is today. You can find me at:
Crystal Jordan’s Blog talking about what inspired me to start writing.
You can also still find my earlier appearances at:
Carolyn Jewel’s Blog
Riding With the Top Down
Smutketeers (I did an interview here)
Lucienne Diver’s Blog
The Novelty Girls
I’m giving away autographed copies of In the Midnight Hour to one random winner at each site. Just post a comment for your chance to win!

I’ll be making a bunch of guest appearances on the web for the release of Edge Of Dawn on Tuesday, June 30th. Here’s a partial schedule:
Monday June 29th
Tuesday June 30th
Wednesday July 1st
I’ll have a couple of more guest blogs as well to announce later.
I hope you’ll stop by and visit. Oh, and leave a comment because at each appearance, I’ll be giving away a copy of In the Midnight Hour. Drawing will be from all those who leave comments.
I have a number of things to talk about today. First up, IN TWILIGHT’S SHADOW is a finalist for Best Paranormal in the Beacon Awards! Yea! This is the eighth time it’s been a finalist and that is so darn cool! I’m glad people have been enjoying this book.
Next, Edge of Dawn, which comes out on June 30th (Next Tuesday!!!) received a great review from Romance Junkies! To quote some of my favorite comments:
“[O'Shea] brings a whole new level to urban fantasy. The fast-paced, edgy feel had me glued to it almost non-stop. The build up and chemistry between Logan and Shona is so hot…”
Wow! That really made my day when I read this.
And my last bit of news. I posted a new blog entry on my Author page at Amazon. In it, I talk about where the idea for Edge of Dawn came from and little bit about the characters and the story. I have a bunch more blog posts to write for other places and I’ll post links here when they’re up so that anyone who’s interested can find them.
I’m over at my agent’s blog today with the Top Ten Reasons to Date a Demon. This is my attempt at being funny, so you’ll either be mildly amused or you’ll understand why I write action/adventure romance rather than humorous stories.
I’m always telling people if there’s something funny in one of my books, it comes from my characters, not from me.
Anyway, head over, take a read through and have pity on me. I’m brain dead off a deadline and trying to be funny at the same time. It boggles the mind.
I needed a blog topic for tonight and was getting desperate. I searched news headlines for articles I could maybe talk about about, but nothing grabbed me. Then I thought, well, maybe I’ll head over to Google and search for someone who has suggestions about interesting blog topics. That was no help. My next idea was to use the “I feel Lucky” button on Google. For some reason, I thought it would take me to a random website, but unfortunately that isn’t what it does. It takes you to the first website listed in your search results. Pfft. That wasn’t what I was looking for.
Then I googled “random website” and lo and behold, there are sites out there that do just that–take one to a random website. The first one I found is called Random Website Dot Com and the other was Memory Cloud/Random Website Generator.
In my exploration for a topic, I was taken to a website with wallpapers–some cool ones, an animal rights group website, zombie nation, and project censored, the news that didn’t make the news. Some of these were meh, and others were interesting and I’ve bookmarked them to explore later. But while I did find some cool stuff, I still had no blog topic.
Then I was taken to the Inspirational Quotes website. Now this is something I can go with. I love inspirational quotes. So my quote of the day is:
If you have built castles in the air,
your work need not be lost;
that is where they should be.
Now put the foundations under them.~Henry David Thoreau
Is that cool or what? To me, what he’s saying is that the dreamer should do more than merely dream. He’s saying that the dreamer should do the work necessary to make his/her dreams come true. I totally believe that. I can’t imagine looking back and having regrets.
Now granted, some dreams are impossible, but I’m not talking about things like becoming an Olympic gymnast or something that would bankrupt a Rockefeller. I’m talking about pursuing reasonably achievable dreams. Like writing. Go for it!
Catch me over on the 2B Read blog. I talked about When Good Characters Go Bad. And yeah, it has been a busy blogging week for me.
