» This story came to be with the characters' backgrounds first.  I knew Conor's mother had been raped and that he hated being half-demon.  He'd been raised to believe that demons were evil.  Mika, on the other hand, had grown up in the demon world and had issues with humans.  I also knew that Conor killed demons and that Mika had been sent to hunt the hunter.  The story came out of their pasts.
 

» Mika has a half brother named Nicodemus.  She calls him Nic.
 

» Conor's mother threw him out of her house on his 18th birthday.
 

» Mika is obsessive about things being orderly.
 

» Conor is a freelance agent for B-Ops.  He doesn't have the temperament to work on a team.
